About Us / Our Story

We started with a simple belief: the centerpiece of most homes is the sofa—the place people gather, decompress, and make memories. Our passion is making luxury seating more accessible, curating premium pieces at a fraction of retail, and preparing each one to be proudly used again.

With 12+ years of combined experience and 2,000+ sofas, sectionals, sleepers, and chairs placed in new homes, we selectively source high-end seating in excellent condition. Every piece goes through our prep standard—inspection, deep cleaning and conditioning, careful color/finish refreshes and larger upholstery repairs when appropriate, and thoughtful staging and photography—so what you see is what you get. And when a special piece deserves it, we restore and renew it to our standard and give it a second life.

We source through personal referrals and in-house software we built that helps us cover more ground across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and British Columbia. In rural areas, exceptional items are often overlooked—we love finding those and bringing them home to Seattle, where they can be appreciated. On occasion, the right piece has taken us to California or even Texas.

How We Got Here

John began selling furniture in 2017 while working as a real estate agent. Helping clients clear homes before a move revealed something obvious: premium furniture deserves a second life. He developed a deep appreciation for craftsmanship—gravitating toward RH, American Leather, Room & Board, Ekornes (Stressless),Gamma Arredamenti, and Roche Bobois—and refined his eye for selective sourcing and practical restoration.

Kevin launched in 2020, starting in a garage and quickly scaling into a storage unit as demand grew. He tightened workflows, invested in better tools, and honed thoughtful staging and photography to represent each piece with clarity and honesty. Beyond the studio, Kevin is a professional race-car driver and instructor—on staff at DirtFish Rally School (the premier rally school in the U.S.) and as a track instructor—and has worked with manufacturers including Acura/Honda, Toyota, and others as a test driver, providing professional feedback for programs such as the Acura NSX. Our shared love of rally and motorsports—and our desire to keep great furniture out of landfills—brought us together in 2022.

Condition & Craftsmanship

We set a clear condition standard for our shop: either a piece arrives in excellent shape or we bring it there. We are selective about what we take on, and when a piece is worth it, we are willing to go deep—structural fixes, foam refreshes, seam work, panel replacements, and color/finish restoration—always with the goal of delivering a result we'd put in our own homes. The outcome is consistent: premium seating that looks right, feels right, and stands up to daily life.

Engineering Second Lives (When Parts Don't Exist)

Curiosity drives us. We have pushed retouching and repair through relentless experimentation, leveraging CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and CNC machining when parts are discontinued. We have reverse-engineered out-of-production components and fabricated replacements to give worthy pieces the second life they deserve.

Delivery That Doesn't Quit

Our commitment doesn't end at checkout. We handle white-glove delivery and thrive on “impossible” installs:

• Building a ramp to a second-story balcony for a 10-foot Room & Board sofa
• Winching a ~400-lb American Leather sleeper through a barn door
• Carefully removing doors and ceiling vents to capture that last ⅛″ of clearance

Keep exceptional seating in circulation—making premium comfort more accessible and more sustainable—by selectively sourcing high-end pieces, preparing them with professional care, and, when needed, applying advanced repair and precision fabrication (from CAD/CAM to 3D printing and CNC) to meet our standard. We carry that same care through to white-glove delivery and installation.
